The Helpguide Story
Helpguide was founded in 1999 by Robert and Jeanne Segal, following the suicide of their daughter Morgan. Robert and Jeanne believe that Morgan’s tragedy could have been avoided if she had access to well-written professional information that gave her a sense of hope and direction.
Our mission is to honor her memory and compassionate spirit by providing balanced, up-to-date, and encouraging information about mental health and lifelong wellness.
We devote our entire site to practical, motivating content that is easy to look at, easy to understand, and focused on information everyone can use to help themselves.
