Michelle Tavares, MSN, RN
Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
Michelle Tavares, M.S.N., is a registered nurse with over 15 years of experience in psychiatric and behavioral health care. She has worked across inpatient, outpatient, and home care settings, as well as in both bedside and administrative roles.
She has held positions as a psychiatric nurse, clinical nurse leader, and nurse manager in behavioral health and crisis care settings, and has experience in integrated care supporting individuals with chronic mental illness. Her work includes patient education, crisis intervention, and coordination of mental health and medical services.
Michelle holds a Master of Science in Nursing and has completed post-master’s training as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. She has served on the boards of the American Psychiatric Nurses Association New England Chapter and NAMI Vermont.
