Board-certified sleep medicine physician
Joshua Roland, MD, FAASM, is a board-certified sleep medicine physician, sleep expert, and advocate for sleep health. He is currently the Medical Director of Dreem/Sunrise Sleep.
He previously served as an assistant professor at UCLA, on the California Sleep Society Board of Directors, and has contributed his expertise to consulting and sleep advisory roles for several organizations and advisory boards. Previously he served on the American Academy of Sleep Medicine's REM behavior disorder treatment task force.
Dr. Roland regularly presents on sleep-related topics in community, academic, and industry settings. His work includes peer-reviewed publications, contributions to sleep medicine textbooks, and expert commentary cited in sleep-related media and professional publications.
He is particularly interested in the role of sleep in physical and mental well-being, as well as how innovative care models and emerging technologies can improve access to effective sleep care.
Dr. Roland is a Fellow of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (FAASM), a distinction recognizing significant contributions to the field of sleep medicine.
